John Crook, Director of Retail Development

John Crook is presently the Director of Retail Development for Carnegie Management and Development Corporation.  In this position he oversees the complete development process of Retail, Office, and Tenant projects and serves as in-house architect.  This includes all activities from site acquisition to completed construction occupancy with all phases of design and development included.

Prior to joining Carnegie in 2007, Mr. Crook spent two years with an upstart development company that specializes in the ownership, development, and management of retail properties.  As the Director of Development, his areas of responsibility included site analysis and drawings, due diligence, municipal approvals, acquiring and managing architects and engineers, project design, building construction adn management, tenant coordination and general office administration. 

Mr. Crook's work background includes over twenty years of experience in architectural firms starting as a draftsman and ending as a prinicple architect with a range of projects in the field of residential, retail, restaurant, office, industrial, medical, and governmental.

 Mr. Crook holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  In September 1991, he became a Registered Architect in the State of Ohio.

Having lived in several western Cleveland suburbs, Mr. Crook is actively involved int he community and environmental issues.  This includes community events and past chairman for the North Olmsted Architectural Review Board.
